Invalid Security Certificate.

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
This Connection is Untrusted.
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to trader618.com, but we can’t confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place.
However, this site’s identity can’t be verified.What Should I Do ?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn’t continue.
If you understand what’s going on, you can tell Firefox to start trusting this site’s identification.
Even if you trust the site, this error could mean that someone is tampering with your connection.
Don’t add an exception unless you know there’s a good reason why this site doesn’t use trusted identification.
Technical Details:
trader618.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.wordpress.com , wordpress.com
(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t see any security risks with the site at trader618.com, according to the third-party security site Securi: http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/trader618.com
If you view a page on your site using https:// URL rather than http:// your browser may show a warning. That is expected behavior and is nothing to worry about.
-
WORDPRESS automatically provides me with the https URL after logging in.
I get the certificate warning after logging in.
Same problem with different computers and O/S.
Problem started about one week ago.
WHEN will an informed staff member assist me with his problem and maybe even FIX it ?

I get the certificate warning after logging in.
On what page do you log in to WordPress.com, the homepage at http://wordpress.com/ or some other page?

I’m getting that warning as well… I usually log into my dashboard at http://gsmonroe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
-
@grandsupercycle and gsmonroe Could you both let me know what the URL is when you receive that message, and what page or action you were on previously – in other words, if you are being redirected to that message from a link or clicking on a button, it would be helpful to know what you were doing to get to that page.
-
Help! I’m getting this too, but ONLY when I click on the links in my category tag cloud. Not sure when it started – I might not have clicked on one of these links since last weekend.
The mesage I get looks like this:
This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to explorationvacation.net, but we can’t confirm that your connection is secure.

My blog is explorationvacation.net
Again, this just started to happen recently and is only happening on the links in the category tag cloud.

My husband was getting it yesterday too and he uses a different browser and security – but today neither of us are getting it. Whatever was causing it seems to have cleared and I’m good now.
Thanks for looking at it!

JUST FOUND THIS:

http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/topic/getting-a-invalid-certificate-for-iphone-app
WordPress.com is dealing with an issue where some of their SSL certs are being incorrectly treated as invalid. Its a server-side issue that is being worked on and hopefully should be resolved quickly.

Evidently all WP staff have Easter off.
That’s nice. But WHEN will the certificate bug be FIXED ?
-
@grandsupercycle I am trying to assist you, but I cannot do so unless you provide me with more specifics that I can take back to our developers to look into. Posting links to other forums threads is not nearly as helpful as telling me precisely what you were doing on WordPress.com that generated the certificate error.
Are you still experiencing this issue? travelgalcindy indicated it is no longer happening for her. Please let me know if after clearing your browser cache you are still getting the error, and on which links/pages, and I will look into it further.

I have been getting this message for about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks as well. I had to make an exception so my browers (firefox) would take me to read my blog from the composing window. It happened first when I clicked either preview or ‘read blog’ from the writing page.
I just posted a link to the post on facebook and the person who tried to read the post received this message “this isn’t a trusted site due to an “invalid security certificate.”
Since I made the exception in my browser I can’t get the original message to send you. Here is the address
-
Just to clarify – I got essentially the same message as travelgalcindy when clicking on the preview or read blog link. I think visitors from facebook are also getting something similar. Would be great to have it fixed as I just sent out an important message that requires people to go to that page to get info. Thanks.
