Invalid Server Response from within Live Writer

I’m trying to post from Live Writer 2011 to my blog, thebrain2u.wordpress.com. It’s always worked great but as of a few days ago, I’ve been getting this error message and have been unable to post:
An unexpected error message has occurred while attempting to login:
The response to the metaWeblog.newMediaObject method received from the blog server was invalid:
Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc server
I did a few searches through the forums for info on xmlrpc but wasn’t able to find something relevant.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@timethief I took a look at the support article in the first link and there’s a workaround for my error message but it involves editing the xmlrpc.php file to which wordpress.com users don’t have access.

Create a new account for your blog here and then delete the old account. WLW should automatically log in and download all your posts to the new account.

Ended up contacting support directly and they replied that it was an error and they fixed it. Thanks for the help anyway, guys.
