Invalide page address
-
Hi folks,
Almost done getting my web page complete but just accessed after a couple of weeks away and, whilst I can access my homepage, when I try to click through to other pages I get a pop-up saying “Invalid page address. This page cannot be found. Check the web address or start a new page”. Am completely perplexed – I’ve been at this for nine months (yes, I know!!) and haven’t encountered this before. Can anyone help please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
No problem. I will be glad to take a look at things. Which pages are you having the issue with?
The Home, About, Contact, and Featured Projects pages all work in my browser, no error messages.

I’m having the same issue. I’m trying to edit page (https://johntpeters.wordpress.com/bio-speaker-information/) from the WordPress editor and it says Invalid Page Address yet the page appears fine on the site.

We’ve had some reports of this happening when specific shortcodes are used on a page in combination with specific HTML, but I see nothing like that on your page. I’m also able to edit that page without any problems, which leads me to believe this might be something specific to your browser.
Please try clearing your browser cache first and see if that helps.
If not, right-click anywhere on the page, select the Inspect option. Click on Console. There will be a line where you can enter text. There type
localStorage.clear();and press Enter. Then try again. Also please check if you’re able to edit the page if you use a different browser.

@jtpeters, I see you’ve also created your own thread in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/went-to-edit-page-which-shows-on-site-but-error-reads-invalid-page-address/. Let’s please keep further communication there.
