Invasion of false followers again !!!

  Hi,

  oh, they are easy to spot…

  (email visible only to moderators and staff) is now following
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) just started following you
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) just started following you
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) just started following you
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) just started following you
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) just started following you
  (email visible only to moderators and staff) just started following you…………

  And the list goes on, all random names at outlook dot com.

  I don’t know what is it for but this some kind of attack as those profiles are not real.

  What can we do ?

  Hi there,

  Please see the Staff replies in this thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spammy-follows-from-outlookcom-email-addresses/#post-3092975

  This is a known issue and is actively being worked on. Staff are removing the followers directly from your site so you don’t have to.

  If you wish, until this current wave of spam followers is over, you can turn off email notifications by changing your settings here: https://wordpress.com/me/notifications Click the arrow on the right and uncheck the box next to Site follows > Email.
