  We as volunteers do not have the power to rewrite that page. We’re just here to answer your questions. I agree it’s a mistake, but we have given you the correct advice all along. You want far more functionality than just affiliate links and ecommerce anyway, so WP.com is clearly not the right choice for you.

  I agree 100% that the blogs linked to on that page http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/pro-bundle/ ought to be only hosted by WordPress.com with premium upgrades. I have tagged this thread so Staff will remove the misleading thumbnail image and link to the blog that’s not even hosted here at all.

  Thank you. One of my main points throughout this thread was to point out the misleading nature of the link containing the blog with ecommercce as a premium blog. This was clearly a source of misunderstanding that I repeatedly attempted to show as a cause for our confusion. The repeated pasting of links, denial of a potential error, and not directly answering my question regarding the link only fueled more confusion.

  Thank you for the help, I believe a .org self-hosted website will fulfill our needs.

  Apparently the link shows different blogs depending on whether or not you have a blog with premium already, so I didn’t see the blogs you were referencing at first. Now that I can, it looks like two of the three sites on that page are no longer hosted on WordPress.com. Thanks for pointing that out.

  Honestly, you are ridiculous! I’m glad staff has been tagged in this. I asked if it was an error and the possible source of confusion, and you responded by posting the IP and server information. That was incredibly helpful is answering our question.

  Everybody else has been helpful in addressing the core of our issue. You, on the other hand, have been cold, insulting, and of little help. I invite the staff to take note.

  Thank you. I didn’t intend to point out errors on the website, but this was clearly a source of confusion and made it seem like we were receiving conflicting information based on what you all have said versus what we had seen advertised on the website. Thank you for clarifying.

  Actually it looks like saltgypsy.com is hosted on WordPress.com but their store site (shopsaltgypsy.com) is not.

  I have not insulted anyone. I have bent over backwards trying to help but truth be told if you have trusted my very first comment above and acted on it then you would have already hired a web host and set up a WordPress.org install. :(
