invisible sidebar
-
Why isn’t my sidebar showing up on my page? I’m at http://altheap.wordpress.com/

I don’t see a sidebar at all. Do you have anything in it? And it is possible that the sidebar doesn’t display on pages other than the home page in the theme you are using.

Well, it doesn’t show up on my main page: http://altheap.wordpress.com/
but it shows up on this page http://altheap.wordpress.com/2008/01/31/when-addiction-is-stronger-than-love/ -
OK, you’ve set the “about” page as a static page. And, as I mentioned before, it looks like the sidebar doesn’t appear on any pages other than the blog page (which is where that post is) in this theme.

I just went in to change it and got confused . . . where would I go to edit pages, or reselect another page as “static” ?
Thanks for your help! -

This stuff takes me forever. So I can leave “about” as the start page and visitors will have to click on “home” in order to navigate. Seems silly not to have the navigation info on the main page!

Ah, but the blog is the main page. And the page navigation is at the top. Some themes, though, don’t show the sidebar on any page except the home page. You’ve chosen one that acts like that. If you want the sidebar on every page, you’ll have to pick another theme.
