'Invitation not sent, the user has blocked invite emails.'

When adding a new user to the blog I get the ‘Invitation not sent, the user has blocked invite emails.’ display occur. However, the user in question has logged in and ensured the option to block email invites is not ticked via http://wordpress.com/#!/read/subsettings/
Searched the forum but don’t appear to have any consisten answer to this issue.

Yes, please fix this so I can add minicosm as a user. The blog is required for my class. Can a staff member please help?

minicosm, you had previously blocked invites from WordPress.com. I have removed that block so you can be invited again.

It still isn’t working. I just tried to send the invitation again with no success. Will it take a certain amount of time for the removal of the block to go through? Thank you.

It is still not working unfortunately. I will keep trying tonight, but I think that something else is wrong.

Ok, if it still doesn’t work later tonight, please let us know. Also, you are sending it to the username minicosm, right? Not a different email address that may have a separate account which has also blocked invites?

I’m so bummed because I’m still getting the same message that invites are blocked. I’m inviting “minicosm,” not an email address. I would really appreciate advice on what to do next.
