invitation problem

    Hi, I sent an invitation, it is accepted but I always see “waiiting” annonce. Why? Thank you for your kind help…ons

  • Hi there. The person who received the invitation has to be logged in to WordPress.com when they click the link to accept the invitation. Please ask them to try that again. You can also try cancelling the invitation and resending it.

    If you need more help with this, please provide the URL, starting with http://, of the blog you need help with.

    Thank you for your dilligeance..
    1 – I opened a new accout ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) because I must use the (as editor) for the posts which anybody contributes to Yerelce so I “masque” my name (nusret ozgul )before I’d an e mail (redaksiyon) but I accidentally delete it:( Now for today I cannot send any post because of the that accident and I try to finde a solution:(
    When I try to approve the invitation, yes you’re right, they ask me log in but… I try and it’s to create a new blog in WP:( What must I do please? For “autor Prof.Dr.Osman Metin Öztürk) I’ll try to send another invitation and explain to log in yerelce, but how?
    Oh.. after 66 years oldu, it very difficult such operation:)) If you have any time for me, please finde a solution for my case:)

  • Please answer the following three questions:

    1) What is the URL of the blog?

    2) What is the username (not email) of the account that owns the blog?

    3) What is the username of the account you want to add as editor?

    they ask me log in but… I try and it’s to create a new blog in WP

    If you’re trying to register a new account, you can do so without creating a new blog. On the screen where it asks you to create a blog there is a link to continue without creating a blog. Click that if you only want a username account.

  • Thanks for that info. Now, Nusret Ozgul isn’t a WordPress.com username. It’s just a name. The WordPress.com username is the one you use to log in and can only be one word.

    The reason I’m asking for this is to check that the username does, in fact, exist. If you haven’t created an account for Nusret Ozgul yet, log out of this account (yerelce) and register a new account for Nusret Ozgul using a different email address than you did for yerelce. You don’t have to register a new blog as well.

    Once you’ve created an account for Nusret Ozgul, log out and log in as yerelce again. Go to the Users ->Invite New and invite Nusret Ozgul using the email address or username you selected for that account.

    Then log out and log back in as the Nusret Ozgul account, go to that account’s email, and accept the invitation.

    Let me know if you get stuck.

    My username for my blog is Yerelce. And when I send an invitation to (email visible only to moderators and staff) , receive it from Yerelce not nusretozgul.. (upper pic.) and when I try to send to; Yerelce,(email visible only to moderators and staff), “no way!” (below pic.) Because I changed the usename (alias; yerelce) of yahoo mail!

    What must I do? :(

  • I can’t see the email addresses you entered – only staff can see them, so I’m tagging this for staff to follow up. Hopefully they can help you sort this out as they can see exactly which account is connected to which email. Please be patient a little longer while waiting for them to respond.

    Hi there,

    I see that the invitation was sent to that Yahoo email.

    But note that there is no WordPress.com account under that email. So, in order to be a user on your site they will have to create an account under that email.
