invitation to edit site of Poems on the Underground

  Sorry, the person who posted this question isn’t potu2020; they are someone who does not have a wordpress account and who wants to know how to accept the invitation from potu2020. Do they have to set up a wordpress account to accept the invitation-to-edit that potu2020 sent them?

  Hi there,

  So you are wanting to send them an invite so that they can be an editor on your site? If so, what is the email of the user you are trying to invite? You can follow these instructions to add them as a user to your site:

  Hi,
  No, sorry, the inital question wasn’t clear.
  We sent invites to edit to two persons. One has a wordpress account and was able to accept the invite. The other does not have a wordpress account and couldn’t find out how to accept the invite without opening another wordpress account. Is there a way a person without a wordpress account can accept the invite to edit our account?

  No, they’ll need a WordPress.com account in order to work on your WordPress.com site.

  I think I just set up a WordPress account, with my email address and a user-name which wouldn’t accept potu2020, so I made one up as poems2020. But now I can’t accept the invite, which is what I want — I don’t want to set up another site, I just want to be able to access the original account of ‘poemsontheunderground.org (domain name) with the user name potu2020 and the password [redacted]

  Hi Judith, I redacted the password — please avoid posting passwords publicly or giving them to anyone else for that matter. I’d recommend changing your password, too, especially if you use it for other sites.

  But now I can’t accept the invite, which is what I want

  While logged in as poems2020, look for the email and choose to accept the invitation. The email subject should say Poems on the Underground invited you to become an editor on Poems on the Underground.

  Also, potu2020 already is the site owner for that site. But they would need to add domain mapping and what not to make it poemsontheunderground.org. Are you that person?
