Invitation to Private Blog Using a Group Email Address?

  My company is starting an internal private blog– instead of sending nearly 1,000 invitations to each employee, can I use our company’s group email address (goes to everyone in the company)?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – I’m afraid that won’t work. However, you could send a mass email out explaining to everyone how to invite themselves by creating a WordPress.com user-only account and then, while logged into that new account, going to the private URL and clicking the ‘request access’ link there to request an invitation. Then, you can simply approve those requests, rather than sending out individual invite emails.
