Invitations Lost in the Mail?
-
I invited several people to be contributors, but almost all of them have said they never received the invitation e-mail. How do I find out what happened? How do I fix this without having to go back and delete all of their addresses from the invite list and re-inviting all of them all over again (which btw is a very tedious process)?
Thanks for your expedited response!

It might be that the invitation ended up in their Junk/Spam e-mail folder, please ask your contributors to check that. Otherwise I’m afraid you need to try and re-invite them.
If they are already WordPress.com users, you can easily add them via ‘Users’ -> Add User From Community’ in your Dashboard. -

Is there a limit on the number of Invites? If not, is there a limit on how many invites you can send in a specific time period? Is it possible that I “crashed” the invitation system by sending about 120 invites within a short time period (1-2 hours)?

I also suspect the first 40 invites I sent a week ago were not received. So, it would appear this is a repeating issue. Could it be tied to the email server they were sent to? Would you guys get a bounce-back email? Would I receive that? Is there anyway to research what happened? I would hate to spend another 1-2 hours doing this all over again for it not to work again.

For security reasons, we actually can’t see your list of invites. In this case I recommend maybe only inviting 10 folks every six hours.
There’s no limit, but this would at least make it a bit easier and less time-consuming for you to see if it’s working or not.
