invitations/request for private blogs
-
I don’t find requests for reading my blog, although people told me they asked for one. Where am I suppose to find them? I searched the mail and all the menu options in the blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
If someone requested to view your blog I think you should have received an email notification. Check your email’s spam folder as well as the Social tab if you’re using Gmail.
You can also invite viewers to your blog from the Users tab of the dashboard.

there’s no invitation in my mail, yet i find out many people asked to receive an invitation.
could there be any ways to check somewhere? -
so i devised a little experiment. another friend send me a request for invitation, 15 minutes ago. there is no sign of this activity in my mail (an ordinary yahoo mail). although any other notification comes in regularly.
can i give you the wordpress account names of those two persons who definitely asked for an invitation or requested access and sort this out?
i am pretty sure there are many other such requests, but possibly some entanglement with my former (not working anymore) e-mail address prevents me from seeing who’s in it. -
I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Will you please provide a couple of email addresses for these friends? The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

P.S. I forgot the obvious. Do these people have wordpress.com accounts? if so what are the usernames?

Hi there!
Can you confirm that the address listed here is accurate:
https://wordpress.com/settings/account/
You should get an email to that address.
-
yes, the address is accurate. i receive all other notifications on it, except requests. i also received confirmation my friend saramon (wordpress account name) had accepted my invitation, but not his prior request.
also, another person asking to read was ancavelicu. both, with wordpress accounts. -
I didn’t get any mail from you, after the message above. the address is correct.
I waited for it for a while and then decided to search mail by “wordpress”.
it’s possible that my last e-mail address – on k.ro – should still be somewhere linked to my account? -
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I did not personally send you an email. But I’m going to head over to your private site and request access right now. Let me know if you get the request email from me.
-
No, I did not. And checked repeatedly, gave it time, checked spam also.
it’s definitely an issue. -

yet, I receive notifications in my mail from wordpress for your comments here, so it’s weird.

Hi there,
I just made an adjustment on our end that should help with this. Can you check to see if you receive those requests for an invitation now?
I’ll request access to your private blog so you can check that (but you don’t need to accept that request).
-
Got it, answered.
Now, how can I get to all the other requests it seems I lost? Somewhere, they must be stocked/stacked (or simply, lost, but somewhere).
Can I get to them or… not?
Thank you for assistance, in the meantime! -
People you’ve already given access to your blog are listed in your Reading Settings (under Settings > Reading in your site’s dashboard), but requests for access to your blog aren’t saved there. Those people will need to request access again so you can respond to the email to give them access.
-
Thank you.
I know the menu pretty well, but until your request, there was nothing to see there.
Except for the people I know to have requested access, the very first days after making my blog private there may have been a few requests from unknown readers. People who will not come back. So it’s a permanent loss.
