Invite Accept not working

Hi – I’ve seen this topic on before but I really don’t have a resolution for mine. I became the administrator for a group blog then set my own up not realising it would be a subordinate site.
In order to split these, I set up another username with a different email address, then sent that one an administrator invitation. It came though and I accepted. However, it never appeared on my subordinate site.
I can see myself still there as an invitation, but it will not activate. Can you advise if there’s a glitch as to why this won’t work?
NB – when you press ‘Accept’ on your email, it takes you through to the dashboard of the website, but my other username etc. refuses to register in ‘Users’ as another, listed administrator. I hope you can help.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is now July 07 – I desperately need to split up these websites, I cannot delete the subordinate one. Can anyone please advise why the invitation accept doesn’t work?

Were you logged into the “new” account when you clicked “accept”. Weird things can happen if you were not.

Yes, I have been logged in, into both. The website never updates or registers the accept. It seems like a fatal glitch to me. It’s really frustrating.

I am curious if with different cookies for both accounts if something hasn’t gotten messed up.
I would send a new invitation and then accept it while logged into the new account. But use a browser that you don’t normally log in with.

Sorry for taking a while to do this, but I have now. I’ve cleared my cache and cookies, I’ve even tried to get the Invitation accepted using another Browser (Chrome). It just isn’t carrying across to register the new email address in Users as an Administrator. It’s a straightforward process otherwise. It just isn’t working. I wonder if other users are having difficulties like this, since perhaps some improvement updates by WordPress that may have affected the functionality of this?
There is another Administrator on the main site, though she isn’t active, and the access is through my email address anyway. I wonder if this makes any difference? I seem to have exhausted all options.
I wonder if the WordPress administrators need to check this function. -
