Invite doesn't work

Hi,
I am working hard to have a company to use WordPress.com and it seems that there is problem that have been brought to this forum in 2012 and still not resolved :
I am inviting someone in a private blog and the invite is well sent, receive in her inbox and clicked to confirm the invite but the link lead her to her blog dashboard. On my side, her status still in « waiting » mode. I tried few times with the same result each time.
I’ve seen a topic about that problem and surprisingly, this topic have been closed withtout any solution at all…

Hi Meho,
Could you let me know the email address of the user you’re trying to invite to view your private blog? Please note, the email will appear as “redacted” in the forum thread, but it will be visible to staff members.

Hi there,
The user you mention should be able to access and read testmauve.wordpress.com. Are they having trouble when they attempt to go to testmauve.wordpress.com?

What I finally did is get this blog private. So the user could ask for a request but she is a simple reader. She cannot get in as a administrator or anything else. What I want is to invite her as an admin.

Ah – I understand. I would just like to first confirm that you would like her added as an administrator user role. Admins have full control over the blog. They could even delete the entire site if they wanted to. The user roles are broken here:

Just reply back to confirm!

What I want is to set the role I want for her, no matter which one it is. But yes it can be the admin role.

Yes, since this problem happen a lot, as we can see in the forums, I want to know if this bug is going to be reported and corrected. Can we keep this thread open until the bug is resolved?

Oh by the way, this user have been added but she is still in the « waiting » status.

Hi Meho,
You should be able to delete her pending invitation through Users -> Invite New since we took care of this manually. I’m still digging in to see if this is part of a larger bug.
