invite people to see my private blog

    I have a private blog that i would like certain people to see. Here are 2 quick questions:

    1) Is there a way to send emails through wordpress.com and let them know about my site….. without them having to create a wprdpress.com account?

    2) If i made my blog public, could anyone post a “reply” even if they do not have a wordpress.com account?

    You can allow registered users to view your private blog via the Settings > Privacy page from your dashboard. If you change your blog to be public you can set it that only registered, logged in users can comment from the Settings > Discussion page.
