Invite users to create password

  Hey there!

  I am hosting the latest version of WordPress on my site and I would like to create a password-potected blog. I’d like to be able to send an email invite to certain people to log in with their email address and create their own password.

  I’ve searched for similar requests and looked though the plug-in directory, but I don’t see a good solution. I know I can do an .htaccess file, but I’d like to let everyone choose their own password

  Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
