Invited user cannot accept invitation?

  Invited user cannot accept invitation

  What is the username of this person please?

  Exactly which blog were they invited to contribute to?

  They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.

  Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

  If they still have issues then make sure they are running a browser or version of it found at http://browsehappy.com, and they have both third party cookies and JavaScript enabled on their browser. http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

  They may also need to disable any adblocker that’s preventing them from proceeding.

  Found the issue. While this doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere, the invited person needs to have a wordpress.com account already, (i.e. at least a dummy blog of their own).

  No, they don’t need to register a blog. Yes, they do need to register a username account and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so. :)

  Finally found it – wow!
  Apparently the user is supposed to know to ignore the landing page prompt for a new blog and click the small Log In link in the upper right, then click the Register link under that page, ignore the subsequent (second!) prompt to create a new blog, and see/follow the small light blue text (which is actually a link) on a white background off to the side. Egads, clearly blog stats are trumping UI design there! :P

  Yo! I’ll tag this thread for Staff attention and maybe they will update the page and make the username account only option more obvious.

  I invited (email visible only to moderators and staff) to be an editor on lovetalkandrambles.wordpress.com but he is unable to be invited through the link sent to him.
