Invited user clicked "Accept Invitation" in email but acceptance not showing.

I’ve invited a new user to be an editor on our blog (https://infanttoddlercoaching.wordpress.com/) . She has (successfully) signed up for a WordPress account. (Username: mistyraincharlie2134 ) She has clicked the “Accept Invitation” link in the invitation email she received. But her invitation status still shows as “waiting”; she does not show up on our list of users; and her WordPress account lists no blogs: “You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.”
I’ve resent the invitation three times, and she has clicked the “Accept Invitation” link each time, but the problem persists.
I’ve read at least a dozen threads on the forum in which people had this same problem. None of those show how I can fix this; the only ones that show a resolution are ones where a WordPress.com admin intervened.
Can you please help get this person registered as a user (editor) of our blog?

I’m so sorry about that. I have emailed that user for confirmation and once I receive that I can manually confirm this user as an Editor.

For anyone else reading this because they have a similar problem:
I found many threads about this problem, but none with instructions on how to fix it. All seemed to have been fixed only when the problem was flagged for a staff member to fix. So I started a new thread, included all of the info they would need (website URL and the WP username of the new user we were inviting in) and explained that I needed staff assistance right from the start. This was the “resolution” that finally worked for us.
It SEEMS like this is a problem somewhere in WordPress, but in our case it is hard to say for certain, as the user we invited is barely computer-literate and may have messed up something very simple.
When I clicked the link in the “invitation” email message that she received (the staff member sent her a new one; and yes, we ended up doing it together side-by-side, in person) I made sure that she was already signed in to her WordPress account in another tab of the browser, and it is possible that this made the difference.
