Invited users to my blog are unable to sign up for just a username.

  I have invited two people as users (Authors) as contributors to the Blog.
  Neither of them are registered with wordpress.
  Wordpress does email the invite to them but the link will only let them set up a new Blog (which they do not want to do).
  This contradicts your existing Support/Adding Users information which states that they can just ‘sign up for just a username’.
  The link which is sent to them in the email is:
  en.wordpress.com/invite/17b1e8bc9ec622cd101e0ce0903c90af
  Am I missing something?

  Hi Larry. Anyone can sign up for just a username by visiting this page. There’s also a link to “Sign up for just a username” below the username field of the regular signup form.
