invitees

Hi, can I stop my blog sending emails to invitees (followers I invited but are not wordpress members). I don’t want to change it from a public blog but it is no longer appropriate for my followers to get email notifications. As far as I can see they have to unsubscribe to stop emails but I don’t know these people well enough to contact them and ask them to this. Is there an expiration date on the email subscription?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
It’s true that we cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Anyone and everyone can access public blogs and that’s indeed what the public designation means. However, please read this about public blogs that become private blogs > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/

Your subscribers control their own subscriptions including the frequency of post receipt (instantly, daily, weekly, never).

Is there an expiration date on the email subscription?

    No there isn’t.

Here are brief instructions for unsubscribing from a blog if the person does not have a WordPress.com username account:
click the “unsubscribe” link on the emails of the posts received at the very bottom of the emails.
