Invites are not received by the users

    I’ve tried sending invites but the invites are not received , please help.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. Did you invite people as followers or as contributors? Be aware that in both cases the invitees will have to accept the invitation by clicking on the link in the email, or they won’t be added/subscribed to your blog.

    If they didn’t receive the invitation emails, ask them to please check their spam/junk folders, as well as the Social tab if they use Gmail.

    Also be aware that if you tried to invite more than ten people at the same time the invitations might have been blocked as spam by WordPress.com. Go to Users -> Invite New in your dashboard. If there are any pending invitations you should see them on that page. You can then try resending the invitation. You can also delete the pending invitations and send a completely new invitation. Make sure to only send a few at a time.

    Let us know if it still won’t go through.

    one of my authors cannot post on the site. The post option on the upper right hand corner is also not working.

  • First, please make sure that you’ve added that user as an author and not a contributor. Contributors can write posts, but they can’t publish it themselves – an admin or editor must publish the posts when they’re ready.

    Second, please ask that user to try clearing their browser cache and cookies and reset their internet connection and see if that makes any difference. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    If that doesn’t help, ask that user to please post here in this forum thread themselves, or at least provide the person’s username so staff can check if the issue might be with that person’s account.

  • You are the admin of the site. What do you mean you can’t post? Do you see an error message? Exactly what happens when you try to post?

    If you are the author referred to earlier who can’t post, you have to post here under your OWN username. We can’t do anything to help if you post under the blog owner’s username.
