Invites being rejected

I have a free blog and I need to put 59 people on it as authors. I go to ‘People’ and click add and it clearly says I can add as many people as i want to the blog. I need them all added as authors.
I added 40 people no problem and some have accepted the invite. However when I try to add the other 19, each invite is rejected, it says:’ Invite failed to send.’ It doesn’t say why. I know the emails are correct, I can email them from my email. I’ve tried them as a group and individually and I keep getting the same ‘fail to send: notice. Please help, I need this to work!

Hi there,
You can send as many invitations as you want, but to prevent abuse of the feature we limit you to sending ten invitations at a time, and there is also a limit on the number of open invitations you can have on your site.
Please make sure you’re not trying to send more than ten invitations at once, and if it still won’t go through you’ll have to wait for some of the people you’ve already invited to accept their invitations, or else delete some of the older not-yet-accepted invitations.
