invites sent but not received?

  have sent out around 50 invites as just made blog private from public, no-one has received (checked by email) so tried resending and have heard there can be problems from another blogger with losing followers, I need to know if they have all been sent can you possibly advise? thanks

  I should add that I pasted and coped all the details from the site and checked and it said sent each time and then just waiting, but noone received? thanks
