Invites to followers

  Why can I not see what the invite emails to followers look like? I had to send a test email to my daughter who said it insists that you create a user name. This is defeatist, and people are not choosing to follow. Why would WordPress make it so difficult to get followers?

  I’m happy to help get this sorted for you.

  An account with us is not required in order for someone to follow your site. Just add a “follow by email” option to the site:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

  This way, whenever you publish a new post to the site, an email notification about that post will be delivered to those following via email.

  Folks with an account, that follow your site, are going to see your new posts in their Reader feed.
