Inviting friends to a private blog

  How do I invite friends to my blog? I have many facebook friends that want to follow me and I don’t want to have to email them all separately. Is there a way to do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can invite your friends through your settings. If you go from your Dashboard > Settings > Reading and if your blog is set to “I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose” a button will appear that reads “Invite Viewers to Your Blog”.

  Once you select this button you will be able to type in all the email addresses for all of your friends you will want to invite. You can include a personal message and they will be sent an email with a link so that they can access to read your blog.

  is there a way to go about this without using email addresses and facebook instead?

  No – members of a Private blog here need a WordPress.COM account and that takes a valid email address
