inviting new user link is not working

We have a nonprofit’s website at http://enrightecovillage.org/ that we’re trying to add me as an administrator to. The current admin sent me an invite link but when I click on it it just takes me to my wordpress.com account but does not add the enright site to my blogs. If I try to login to the site directly i tells me i don’t have permission.
Please, can someone help? We know about transferring the site to me, but frankly that option scares me because if it doesn’t work neither of us will have access.

They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.
Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

oh, and the wordpress blog is enrightecovillage.wordpress.com though we have a domain pointed to it. I don’t know if that makes a difference.

It looks like there is something larger amiss with the blog you mention. I went ahead and reached out to the blog owner directly via private email. Once we get that resolved, the Invite New User link should begin working correctly. Please ask them to reply via private email!
