    Happy to help with this! I’m trying to verify the VAT number that you provided. However, the number is coming back invalid. Can you double-check the number for me?

    I read only today your answer. I checked also on the website you wrote and the number seems to be invalid. I will check it with my accountant and with my tax office. Actually I’m doing business with this VAT number in Italy since 2003.

    Sounds good! I’m not sure why it’s coming up as invalid. If you could check with your tax office, that would be great! Once you have the VAT number corrected, I’m happy to issue a VAT receipt.

    Odd – the VAT number is now coming up correctly when I check it as well. I went ahead and emailed the VAT receipts to your address. Can you confirm that you have received them?

    I believe this post to be related to the context of this Topic entitled “Invoice.”

    See below background and my question.

    BACKGROUND. I volunteer with a Mexican NGO whose using WordPress to build its English (and soon Spanish language) websites. We use a free site but now explore an upgrade to either PREMIUM or BUSINESS (we seek video function, e-mails and Spanish/English versions of same content). However, we can only do so if WORDPRESS/Automattic can issue to the NGO a formal invoice using the Mexican version of the VAT, something called an RFC (Registro Federal de Contribuyentes).

    QUESTIONS:

    (1) Can we submit payment for our upgrade using a US credit card or paypal and, in so doing, receive a formal invoice at the organization’s formal e-mail address referencing the RFC number (READ: VAT)?

    (2) If not, will using a Mexican Bank credit card make the request easier, assuming, the end result is our upgrade and a formal invoice being sent to the organization’s formal e-mail address and detailing the transaction in the context of the RFC number (READ: VAT)?

    We do not provide invoices for purchases. However, you can download a receipt for the transaction here:

    @damonht,

    We can provide a VAT receipt for your purchase made with a US credit card or PayPal account. Once you make the purchase, please provide your VAT number and business address either through email to help@wordpress.com or by opening a new thread here in the forums.
