IO Error when trying to upload photos

  I’m having this same problem..the post above mine with all the code is all Greek to me. Has anyone else found a way to fix this?

  maineskirk, those were just instructions for fixing the two files causing the error. Here they are in a zip file:

  After you’ve backed up your existing wordpress installation (just in case our versions are different and you need to roll back) simply extract io-error-fix.zip inside your existing wordpress installation (inside the folder that has wp-admin and wp-includes inside it). That should fix your IO Error.

  Could you email the guys at wordpress.com about this fix? If it works they owe you several hundred beers.

  Toby- I’m on wordpress.com so I can’t edit any installation. Has anyone else been able to fix this or am I sh*t out of luck?

  Ok I found a way to get around this IO error nonsense! Under the upload thing it says “Having problems? Try the Browser upload.” So I tried that instead of the original Flash upload thing and I was able to upload my pictures.
  Hope this works for anyone else who’s getting the error!
