iOS app erasing html and formatting
-
The WordPress app is deleting all of my html and formatting, making the entire post one long paragraph. If I post from the website, everything is fine. But if I then try to edit that post from the app, it deletes all of the formatting automatically. Even if I write out the paragraphs and format it in the app, it automatically changes it all back. How can I fix this?

hi,
Can you :
1. make sure you have the latest iOS WordPress app version
2 include your iOS WordPress app version here too ?
This link will guide you on how you can check the app version.

I do have the latest version. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice and even restored my phone to before the error occurred. It is still happening as if it is caused by some sort of sync error with the plain text option from the website post editor.

Hi there,
Can you please give me a link to a post where this happened, and confirm both your iOS and the app version number for me?

I’ve already deleted the corrupted posts. I can corrupt an older post and link it.
Device: iPhone 5s
iOS: 11.4
App: 10.3.1https://tylerdealauthor.wordpress.com/2016/06/07/rwyh-wwyl-journey-to-the-centre-of-the-earth-humor/
It seems that this post retained some html and formatting. It just deleted all spacing.

Thanks. It looks like we already have a bug report open for this issue, and our developers are already working on a fix, so once the app updates again this should no longer happen.

I just wanted to update you that the fix for this has been deployed. If you don’t see an available update in the app store, please try re-installing the app instead.
