iOS shortcut wont let me select the blog I want to post to.

  Hi I’ve just launched my first wordpress blog. When I started I created one and then didn’t like it so created another and hid the first. I’m a bit of an iOS shortcuts fan so wanted to post through a shortcut. However, in the shortcut I’m not able to change from the original blog to the new one.

  Hi there,

  Do you mean the shortcuts app? Can you tell me how you have your shortcut configured? For example, is it set up to open the WordPress iOS app, or to open a URL in your browser, and if the latter, what URL?

  This might be related to which site in your account is set as the primary site – the primary site is the one that’s loaded by default when you log into your WordPress.com account, so if you’re using a generic shortcut that doesn’t specify the site, that’s likely what’s happening.

  You can update your primary site in your account settings:

  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  Hi, and thanks loads for responding. I’m using the WordPress shortcut action and on the option to choose which blog I select, both blogs appear but it will only let me select the blog I don’t want. My primary blog is the blog that I want so its a little weird and am wondering if its a bug within the WordPress shortcut action..

  You’re post got me thinking – I renamed my old site (they had the same name – bit of a schoolboy mistake). As soon as I changed it I was able to change the blog between the two options. Its pretty weird but at least I have a way forward.

  Rename as in the site title under General Settings? If that helped this is definitely an issue on Shortcuts’s end, as on WordPress.com we use the URL as the unique identifier for your site, not the name/title, as those aren’t unique.

  But if it’s working now that’s great :)

  Yep I had named the site title in general settings as the same name. I renamed it to sitename-old and it seems to work now. Thanks for the support
