iOS WordPress app not uploading posts or pages
-
I’ve tried to write a blog post using the mobile app for iOS but I keep getting the error “Post failed to upload”. The app is great, but useless if we can’t upload posts or pages with it.

Hi,
Have you tried restarting the device. Also check for latest updates on the app or just delete the app and reinstall the same. It should work fine.
Please let us know if you still have issues.

Hi there,
I see that you have several sites – is it a particular site that is receiving this error, is are you receiving the error on multiple?
Additionally, do you have the same issue on a different wifi network?
-
I’ve tried on two of my websites and on wifi and data connection. The result was the same. I have the latest version of the app and I restarted my phone. Still can’t upload error.
-
Thanks for the update. I would then try a fresh install of the app and see if that does the trick. If it does not, let me know what particular iOS device and software version of that device you are using.
Thanks,

Ok, thanks! I’ve this too but I still get the same error. If I try to upload a photo from Free Photo Library, I get “failed to insert media” error and when I tap for options I get “Invalid response from the Jetpack site”. Could it be a problem with JetPack?
-
Yeah, Jetpack must be the issue – especially since all of your sites are having this issue and they are all connected to WordPress.com via Jetpack.
As @adarshhalan mentioned, would you be able to try the following exact steps for me for a completely fresh reinstallation?
- From the wp-admin dashboard of your site, please go to Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > Manage site connection from your left-hand menu.
- Click the “Disconnect” button. If it’s already disconnected, you can skip to the next step.
- Deactivate your Jetpack plugin by heading to Plugins > Installed Plugins and finding “Jetpack by WordPress.com.”
- Completely uninstall Jetpack.
- Reinstall the newest version of Jetpack.
- Deactivate all of your plugins.
- Activate only Jetpack.
- Back in Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > Manage site connection, Click the “Set up Jetpack” button and continue through the approval process.
Please let me know the results of this troubleshooting and we can go from there. Thanks!

Thanks for your answer. I’ve done all what you said and I still get the same “failed to upload” error.
-
I’ve found out that the mobile app works without Jetpack. I’ve also found out that a photo form the Free Gallery was uploaded countless times, even if I got the „failed to upload” error. Still, with Jetpack active the blog posts or pages wont upload.

Are you having the same issue when accessing your site from WordPress.com in a browser?
Also, have you logged out and logged in to the app after reconnecting Jetpack? -
In a browser all work just fine on a PC and on iPhone. I did log out and log in after reconnecting Jetpack.

Hi there,
Can you do a fresh install of the app and see if that fixes the issue?
1. Uninstall the app from your phone.
2. Go to your Security page on your WordPress.com account and under the Connected Apps tab disconnect the WordPress iOS App. Here’s a direct link to that page:

3. Re-install the app again and re-connect your site or account.
