IP Address
-
Hi,
We are able to do a mapping subdomain for our blog, but when we are trying to view it in the office, there is a problem that we can’t view it because it is looking for the IP that has not been added in our DNS.
Can you please let me know what is the IP address that wordpress is coming from so I can ask the IT department to add it, so we can view it?
Thank you,
HenryThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no permanent static IP address for any WordPress.com blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore WordPress.com does not purport to provide static IP addresses. Note what Staff (jeremeylduvall) provides in this thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/looking-for-name-serverip-address?replies=8#post-2091660
To map to an existing domain see http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
To map a subdomian see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/I also tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Hi Henry!
It looks like you’re setting up a subdomain, not a root domain. In this case, you’ll need to set up a CNAME record that points to danielsjewelers.wordpress.com. You do not need an IP address.
Let me know if I can help with anything else!
