  Hi

  I need to find the IP address for my website so that I can connect my domain name which i brought from Go Daddy with my website

  Hi @transitionbasektball,
  The best way to map your domain to your WordPress.com blog/site is to change your domain’s name server value’s to these:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  However, if your registrar requires that you create records using IP addresses, then i am tagging this question with the modlook tag so that it gets the staff attention(they will be able to provide you with the required IP Addresses).

  If you wish to reach the staff directly for your future questions, just add the modlook tag in the Tags section with your question.

  NOTE: WordPress.com IP’s change over time due to which, your domain might stop working at some point in the future.   thanks so much for your help, i need to IP address unfortunately so will have to hope someone is able to contact me and send it by using the
  #modlook tag

  Please could someone provide me with this as soon as possible, my IP address for my website https://transitionbasketball.wordpress.com

  Hi there,

  We recommend that you use name servers instead. If you need any DNS records for your email to work, you can add those on our side and your email will still work as before. GoDaddy does allow you to change the name servers.

  However, if you prefer to use A Records you can do that. You will need to add two A-records with these IPs:

  192.0.78.24

  192.0.78.25

  These IPs can change over time, at which point your domain will stop working. Should that happen, please contact us again for the new IPs.

  You will also need to have the domain mapping upgrade on this end to complete the connection.

  If GoDaddy is asking for the IP so they can do domain forwarding and masking with your domain, please note that we do not recommend that. Connecting a domain in that way will not work properly and will cause several features on your site to break. The only way to properly connect a domain to your WordPress.com site is via the domain mapping upgrade.
