IP address and cname record – mapping domain to wordpress

    Can someone please provide me with my IP Address and cname record for my beachfrontstravel.wordpress.com site? I currently have homestead as my domain server and I need to keep my e-mail with them so they need the ip address and cname first before i do the purchase to map my domain with wordpress or my email will not work!! i have asked this a month ago and no one has replied. #help

    I am so sorry that your first thread fell between the cracks.

    There is no permanent static IP address for any WordPress.com blog. All IPs are dynamic ie. ever changing. Therefore WordPress.com does not purport to provide static IP addresses.

    The best way to map a domain to a WordPress.com blog is to set your domain’s name servers to the following values:
    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    However, if your registrar requires that you create A records, please note that our IPs change over time. Because of this, your domain might stop working at some point in the future. If that happens, please get in touch with us to find out the most current IPs and then update your A records, accordingly.

    If you still want to map your domain using A records, please be sure to create two records using these IP addresses:
    192.0.78.12
    192.0.78.13
