IP address and port number

  Hello. I have a wordpress site, politicsandhiphop.net, that I registered everything with through wordpress. I’m having a web designer friend look at it and he was asking me questions I didn’t know the answer to:

  -FTP access (login information)
  -IP address and port
  -username
  -password

  If he’s asking for the blog username and password, I obviously have that. Thank you for your help.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You don’t have FTP access here – so skip that – not needed

  Your blog does not have a static IP address and you seem to have the custom domain name mapped an working well so not sure what they need that info for

  You might want to refer your friend to this: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Did your friend say why they needed the IP address?

  The no FTP access is a security and reliability issue
