IP address for a friend

    Can anyone please tell me for about how long the IP addresses are ‘static’ (before they change!) Have a problem with a provider who only allows IP addresses….

    Or I’d have to forward everything to WordPress (www & MX) which is a pain considering WordPress.com doesn’t host emails and all that stuff…

    No WordPress.COM have static IP addresses – currently they have I think 6 IP addresses for something like 38 or more blogs – some hosts will give you a static IP address but the hosts usually charge extra for that

    Pay no attention to @ddmsmpa – they are just spamming / trolling for some slimy company – save your money

    Thank you auxclass…I did disregard @ddmsmpa (…been around way too long to get sucked into that kind of help!) But thank you…

    I read somewhere that wordpress.com can give you the current ip address and you have to take chances on how soon it changes to another…is that true?

    Perhaps you can advise otherwise!

    Should be 38,000,000++

    Here are the current 6 IP addresses for my site here – make sure you use at least two addresses – the IP addresses change on a constant basis due to server load, regular maintenance actions and such

    Using name servers for mapping is much better

    76.74.254.123
    192.0.81.250
    66.155.9.238
    66.155.11.238
    76.74.254.120
    192.0.80.250
