IP address for domain mapping

  I have a domain with GoDaddy and I want to link it to my WordPress site.
  I changed the nameserver on GoDaddy to WordPress but it’s still not directing to my site. I called GoDaddy and they said I need to get the IP address to do the mapping.

  Where can I find the IP address?

  Changing the name server is the correct way, but it looks like you haven’t fully mapped it yet. Please review the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Thanks for the quick response. So I have to pay in order to have my domain mapped to WordPress? There is no way around it?

  Yes a paid plan is required for a custom domain to work with a wordpress.com site.
