IP address of my website

  Hi,

  I can’t find this answer anywhere so here it is!

  I would like my new wordpress website to have the same URL as the old one (Old one: http://www.wallonia.co.uk/) but I can’t map it as I will lose all the professional email addresses linked to it.

  Therefore, I will need the IP address of my new wordpress website to keep the same URL.

  Could someone help me with this?

  Hi M,

  WordPress discourages using IP addresses over name servers as they can change over time and your website may stop working in future and you will have to contact support again. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/ip-addresses/#ip-address-for-domain-mapping

  However, you should be able to map your domain and change some of the DNS records for your professional emails to work. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#what-about-email

  If that doesn’t help and you still need an IP address, let me know and we can flag staff to help.
