IP adress changing
-
Hello!
I have a blog: retrogad.wordpress.com with IP adress: 74.200.243.251, but my internet service provider blocked the following IP-adresses:
lb.wordpress.com has address 74.200.244.59
lb.wordpress.com has address 76.74.254.123
lb.wordpress.com has address 76.74.254.120
lb.wordpress.com has address 72.233.69.6
lb.wordpress.com has address 72.233.2.58
lb.wordpress.com has address 74.200.243.251
because a two blogs: http://haamash.wordpress.com/ and http://jamagat.wordpress.com/ contain extremist materials.
Now I don’t have access to my blog and I want to ask you: is it possible to change the IP adress of my blog? Maybe it’s possible if I “Go Pro” account?
I need your help! Thank you.
From Russia with love. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Why are you asking this question please? IP addresses here change just as you have observed. They are not fixed. There is no upgrade one can purchase to achieve what you want. My question remains. Why are you asking about this, please?

Thanks for letting us know. We are aware of some problems accessing WordPress.com from Russia at the moment and apologize for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to specify a different IP address for your site, but we are working on the issue at a wider level.

We’ve had some reports that WordPress.com is once again accessible through certain Russian ISPs that had been blocking it.
Could you please let me know if things are sorted out for you? If not, would you mind letting me know which ISP you’re using? Thanks!

Thank you for the additional information. OnLime is one of the ISPs that has been blocking wordpress.com. We are trying to resolve this, unfortunately, as it’s up to the ISP and not us, what we can do is limited.

Hi all , I am having the exact same problem. I am an American fashion designer out of Bologna Italy and my friend in Moscow says she can’t read my blog and got the same ‘extremist’ message. Please let me know as well when this is resolved as I am very worried that my most interesting market is not reachable via blog. I have invested a lot in trying to reach this market so for me this issue is of grave importance.
My blog is http://www.neimasitawiblog.wordpress.comThe russian IPS blocking my blog is also OnLime.
thanks in advance for your help.Best,

neima – thanks for the report – I’m investigating the current situation.
Would you mind finding out if your friend is able to see any sites on WordPress.com? For example, any of the sites linked in today’s blog post?
-
Hi Kathryn, thanks for the swift reply. Yes, my friend was able to see today’s blog post. She also says that she was able to my blog today. Is this temporary or just a coincidence or did something change on your side and I can be confident that I am ok in Russia?? thanks in advance for your support.

Thanks for letting me know – I’m glad she was able to see your site today.
Unfortunately we can’t predict when an individual ISP may decide to block WordPress.com sites, but we do try to take action as soon as we’re aware of the problem. Please let me know if it happens again.

Hi again!
I have a progress in my situation. Sometimes I can go to my blog from home. At this moment, ping shows different IP adress. But after an hour access again disappears. What could it be? -
-
retrogad – are you still having trouble accessing your site? If so, is OnLime still telling you that they’re blocking WordPress.com?
-
At this moment I have access from home… However, I do not know what will happen tomorrow :-)
-
If you have trouble accessing your site again from any location, if you wouldn’t mind contacting your ISP at that time and asking them to confirm whether they’re blocking WordPress.com, we’d appreciate it as it would be helpful for our investigation. Thanks for your help!
