ip adress pls help

  if i am i subscriber for example for xtz.blabla and the site is on wordpress and i the administrator make a comment and i am a subscriber only, I CAN VIEW ON EMAIL HIS IP ADRESS and his message and others…

  it appears only to me or it appears to everyone the ip of the person who made it?

  I am sorry but we cannot deal in vagueness here. There are two separate and unique WordPress sites. Please post an active link for starting with http:// for the blog you are referring to.

  it does not matter the site, the problem is universal:

  when you subscribe for example on a post, when someone replies you get on email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) his name, ip adress and so on…
  is this something good? that anyoane who is subscriber can view my ip adress while commenting?

  I’m not entirely sure what your concern is, but IP addresses are no longer unique. ISPs will assign in some cases hundreds of their users to a single IP address since each IP address that they have or buy costs them money, and to keep their expenses down, they assign many users to each IP address.

  Secondly, IP addresses in many cases, are not even good for locating the general area where someone might be. Mine for example will show me in Spokane, Washington and I am about 3000 miles away from there.

  No not really. Given that IP addresses are no longer unique, unless you are the FBI or CIA or something like that you are not going to be able to get any information on the user. ISPs have to abide by privacy laws and the only way you could identify someone from an IP address would be if you had a court order or something like that.

  Search on your own IP address and see just how little info you can find.

  My IP address is unique by the way, but it reverses to a different town. About all you can find is who my ISP is.

  look.. when somebody replies it tels on my thread or when i reply to somebody if i am a subscriber it emails:

  “New comment on your post “test”
  Author : username who replied (IP: it tels IP ADRESS of username , AGAIN IP ADRESS)
  E-mail : email of it
  URL : http://blablabla.wordpress.com
  Whois : http://whois.arin.net/rest/ip/ IP ADRESS
  Comment:
  test

  My question is: THAT IP ADRESS IS GIVEN TO EVERYBODY WHO SUBSCRIBS, it`s my ip or what?

  ps: this is just a neewbie question, sorry but i am new in wordpress and in computers and i am afraid because it gives my ip adress
