IP of commenter?

  I clearly recall being able to see the IP address of the user who is posting comments to my blog. I use this for checking comment spam. Now I simply can’t seem to find this any more.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I see them in comment on my site. More to the point is why are you focused on IP addresses please?

  For over a decade now ISPs have placed hundreds of us in the same IP address to save money so only 15% of them are accurate reflections of location. Also many of us have dynamic ie. ever changing IP addresses.

  supernovia yes that is it! How do I get to that screen “the easy way”?

  timethief, it’s not just the IP but the email address. By comparing the two you can usually tell if they’re spoofing. Both are on the same screen in WP.

  Probably the easiest way is to bookmark that link, but you can also get there via (example.wordpress.com)/wp-admin > comments . I hope that helps!
