IP of staging site

    Hi, we would like to point our live domain to the wpcomstaging site (rschwartzrmt.wpcomstaging.com). Can you please share the IP that I need to update in A record under live domain DNS. I understand, this would be a dynamic IP, can we get a static IP assigned for our website on wordpress.com so that we do not have worry about the IP change in future. Please help us on that too.

    Hi there! We don’t have a way to manually assign a static IP as such, but we do find that it is rare that IP addresses change.

    You can actually view the site’s IP addresses after the domain is connected, by following our Domain Connection (Alternative Method) guide! If you do find you have any trouble with it, feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
