  This upcoming year I would like for my students to create their own websites. They all have iPads with browsers but will not be able to download the WordPress app. Will they still be able to design websites? Also, does your site allow videos from Schooltube to be embedded for free?

  Hi there!

  Yes, on iPad you’ll be able to customize your site at WordPress.com. I made a test trying to embed a Schooltube video on my site and unfortunately the only two options to share is a link and an iframe, but iframe isn’t allowed at WordPress.com site.

  Thank you for the reply. So the students will not need the app to design their webpages if using the iPad?

  I have tried using Weebly on the iPad but that requires the app in order to edit a webpage.

  I’ve made a test on my iPad 2, using Chrome and Safari and everything is ok, I could edit posts, add posts, etc. On Safari was suggested for me download the app, but it’s not mandatory, so, the students can edit your sites on their iPads.
