iPad menus unreliable
-
I don’t know if this is a WordPress problem or a ‘Soundcheck’ theme problem, but for some reason the menu items don’t work properly on the iPad.
If I select a drop-down menu and try so select one of the items in the list, almost invariably it selects what’s lying underneath the drop-down … so if there’s anything with an active link, it’ll go to that, as if the menu wasn’t there. If the item isn’t active, then nothing happens. I don’t know if I’ve ever managed to successfully get to what I was trying to select.
I’m assuming that Luke McDonald is simply using existing WordPress modules, which is why I suspect it’s an issue there.
Of course I might be wrong …
Cheers

Howdy! This is a known issue with drop-down menus in mobile devices — since there is no “hover” capability on an iPad, drop-down submenus will often malfunction.
While this is a universal issue, how a theme chooses to work around it is up to the theme developer, so I would bring this up in the premium themes support forum for Soundcheck so they can address it directly:

Thanks. I suspected that this wasn’t confined to the one theme.
I will raise it with the Premium folk.
Cheers
