iPad WordPress app crashes when uploading photos

  Every time I try to upload a photo to a new blog post the app crashes out. I’m running the most recent Apple system and have deleted and reinstalled the WordPress app several times to no avail.
  Has anyone else experienced similar ?

  I am having a similar problem – I have updated the IOS and have deleted and reinstalled the app but it crashes when I try to add photos. Any help on how to resolve this would be appreciated – it’s very frustrating!

  I am having the same problem on several ipads in school.
  Version 4.5 running on iOS 8.4.1 WILL work but on the iPads that have updated to WordPress 5.5 there appears to be an issue with permissions to the photos stored on the iPad.
  On some of the iPads, when we are creating a post and click the icon to add a picture, the notification to allow the app access to the photo store appears but the app closes behind this notification, the post is saved as a draft version.
  On other iPads the app just closes without displaying notification.
  I have checked and all iPads have set correct permissions to access photos in settings.
