Irregularity in stats

My stats page sometimes shows excessive ‘interest’ by one visitor in my About page (today it’s 20 views by 1 visitor). It’s not that interesting … :-) Is this a fault somewhere? I can’t see what or who it is and I just want to be sure I’m not being stalked or spammed, etc. Is there any way I can check please?

Hi there. This is most likely due to the fact that your about page is also your site’s landing page, which means it will get more views. As for multiple views from one visitor, consider that many people, myself included, would automatically click on the blog title to get back to the front page when doing extended browsing on a particular blog, leading to multiple views. If your home page was your posts feed, you’d see multiple hits for the main feed, rather than the about page. So, I’d not worry about this too much.
On the other hand, stalking is always a risk on the internet, what with it being anonymous and all, but the only way to prevent that is making your blog private.
