Irretrievable trash

  Hello!

  I started this account about three years ago and about a year ago I moved some things to my trash (thinking that this is WordPress’s equivalent function of archiving, and I’ve come back to my site only to find one out of my many posts still in the trash.

  I wondered as to whether the rest may have been permanently deleted due to the time they spent in my trash? I would really love to retrieve them if possible as this seems to be the only place I saved them.

  Hi Rebecca,

  Items in the trash are deleted after 30 days. Can you please let me know what are you looking for to search for it just in case it hasn’t been deleted?

  Hi Rebecca,

  Sorry to say that post does appear to be gone :(

  While it may be too late for some of your content, if you’d like to archive content for the future this can be done by setting the post status to draft which will unpublish the post, or to private which will keep the post live on the site for admins but it hide it from everyone else.
