Is 10 the maximum number of editors that I can invite to my blog?

I would like to add up to 40 editors to my blog. I have read in the forum that you can add as many as you want but when trying so below the box where to fill the e-mail addresses it contains the following message:
“Invite up to 10 email addresses and/or WordPress.com usernames, separated by commas. Those needing a username will be sent instructions on how to create one.”
Is 10 the limit for the whole blog or per invitation?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is the limit per invitation. This is set so that a user with less-than-honorable intentions can’t spam people from their blog (for example).
You should be able to add 40 editors without a problem!
