Is a password protected page prevented from sharing to Facebook?

    If one of your pages is password protected—when you make a post on that page, will it update through the newsfeed to Twitter and Facebook? Or are you preventing that in the simple act of password protecting the page?

    Not all the pages do we want to prevent the posts from being shared on Facebook and Twitter, but only the ones that are password protected.

    Howdy,

    With posts (Posts->Add New), there will be a Publicize area just above the Publish or Update buttons ( http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/ ).

    If you would like a post NOT to be publicized through the accounts listed, click “Edit” and uncheck the accounts you don’t wish to publicize too.

    With pages (Pages->Add New), those are not publicized in either case.
