Is Akismet possibly too strict for foreign languages?
-
This year has only given my blog, written i Swedish, one single comment, far less than I was used to earlier. Mind you, I am not getting, or striving to get, too many readers, but I starting to wonder if perchance your Akismet weeding-out-spam application might throw away some valid comments, written in Swedish. (1) Is there any reason for me to think so? (2) Is there a way for me to bypass the spam-check for a while and accept the junk to see if there are any real messages among it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There’s no way to disable Akismet on wordpress.com; your best option would be to check the spam folder every few days. If you find any legitimate comments in there, mark them as not spam, and Akismet will learn from that.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will do what you said. I didnät even know that all the spams were collected to be viewed – I learn something new every day!

Actually the spam comments that contains malware and viruses is not sent to us to examine, because if we opened it we could infect many blogs. But the other spam comments are available for our examination.
